For my birthday I got - a chicken pox vaccination! Yaaay! My fiance works in the hospital, and one of his patients yesterday was extremely ill and in the infectious stage of chicken pox. I've never had chicken pox, so I had to get a vaccine just in case Seb managed to bring the disease home on his clothes, or something (it's extremely contagious). So far I have not reacted to the injection but they tell me a rash is common. Gaaah!!

Puzzle Quest rules, why can I waste so many hours on it? I have work to do...!

I'm working on a short manga story, about 40-45 pages in length, for a submission. We'll see how that goes. Won't really be able to upload anything from it though because of copyright and whatnot. I might try and get something else done in Painter since people seemed to like the Croach portrait (it's different from what I usually do, isn't it...). Also, I'm working on a manuscript. Why do authors make this look so easy! Must eat more brains...garrrrghh!!!

Also, I am a speaker at the Melbourne Emerging Writers Festival, I'll be there on the weekend from 30-31st May. I'm doing something manga related - talking about how I got my book together and what's happening with the OEL market. (Better read up on that...)
