Another card from the Steampunk Arcana. This one depicts an adolescent boy following the path of sin; trading an eye for the right to do as he pleases. Pirates have no home to go to, so he is The Lost Boy, doomed to wander and commit piracy to stay alive.

This work will probably be tweaked a little before the exhibition printing. I thought I'd upload it now and get some feedback/crits going.

I love how all of your pieces have an interesting story behind them. The shading is very wonderful, it makes him look more dark! And the border around him is simply amazing ^^!

I put bird seed in the ground but no birds grew from it T^T Dang birds.
i like the clocks, but do they have any significance?

im not sure how to critique n this, I love the character design n the story behind it, it's perfect.
but there's something missing overall, in the background. It seems a lil empty compare with the previous card~ probably if there's a background like a port or some more solid design on the lower back of the character would be nice~

Just my thoughts~ =)
I still love it nonetheless~
wow! great work! fave!
I thought the background was fire, but then i realized there were cogs back there, which i thought was a neat trick of the eyes. Neat character, but "he" looks like a "she"

I agree that something solid in the background (not all of it, maybe just the bottom up to his hips) would improve this slightly, otherwise, it's brilliant work ^^ I love these cards, they're all so well done
Love the pepper-box gun. It's a beautiful classic weapon. Great picture.
I loike these cards, especially this one. I like the birdie, he's kinda freaky looking, but in a cool way, and I also love the way he's sticking his tounge out at us.

Do you know Tri-Edge?
Do you not wish to know the truth?
That's why I'm here.
I don't think "doomed" is the right word. :)

The shading could stand to be stronger, especially around his face.
