Artist's Comments
This is the tentative cover design for Hollow Fields volume two, which will be out around May 2008. It still hasn't been approved and 'tweaked' by the editors, so hopefully not too much will change, because it took me a while!
Lucy's the only character from the volume one cover remaining; this time she's surrounded by Mr Croach (the creepy-looking guy with the spade), Claude (lower left), Summer (purple hair) and Carmen (freaking out). They all get a bit of page time in the next volume, that's why I picked them for the cover. The compostitional gap in the top third of the image is to allow for the title logo.
Looks like Lucy is surrounded by potential enemies in volume two!

EDIT: Daily Deviantion! Wow! Since some folks have noted me asking about the manga, here's some info!
Hollow Fields is and all-ages manga (featuring a school for junior evil geniuses) published by Seven Seas Entertainment (they also do Afro Samurai, Boogiepop, and a bunch of other mangas!).
Also, I just uploaded the cover art for volume three a week ago. Check it out!

The details put into Hollow Fields Volume 2 Cover by *Clockwork7 really make me want to know more about this story! The colors are vibrant and used very well together and the expressions and poses are very natural feeling. I'm a big fan of the giant wrench as well. (Featured by `Damaged927)
