Wonder how I coloured this artwork?
Well, wonder no more because I wrote a tutorial for the process, and it's now up at Computer Arts!

This is a technical tutorial, not really suited to new Photoshop users. I was using CS3 for this, before my computer died (yaarghh!!). The most important step is putting the lineart on a separate alpha channel...if you can do that, you can colour anything in Pshop!

Rebooting next week!
After this huge revolting hiatus due to real life being dumb, Rise From Ashes is returning next week on Monday the 28th! That’s a day before Hollow Fields 4 is released!
The story will be rebooted with a bunch of changes, due to me being more organized and wanting a tidier story. So the old ‘Chapter Zero’ will be archived, but it won’t be a part of this story. It’ll stay on the site for people to read, though.
There’ll also be a spankin’ new site design, and early uploads will recommence on my Patreon. Between this and Hollow Fields, next week will be big!

So I was at the Stanley awards a little while back, and it was great to catch up with some fellow Aussie creators. It did drive home that it’s a small world down here – the comics world, I mean. It would be great to go to the US sometime and see a huge convention like San Diego, but right now that won’t be happening until I somehow come into a large fortune after a mysterious benevolent relative I’ve never met passes away and leaves it to me, along with a haunted mansion that I must spend a night in before I can claim my birthright.
